Catholic Children's Society (Shrewsbury Diocese) was founded in 1889 as part of the then Catholic Children's Rescue Movement. Its key purpose was to place children with adoptive families to ensure a loving home and a place to thrive.

Nowadays, inspired by the same vision of seeking the best for children and their families, we work in a variety of areas to bring this vision to life.

MISSION
In the spirit of the gospel
we work WITH children and families
to help build
stronger supportive communities
wherever there is current disadvantage

We continue to look for
ways of responding
to the needs of
children and families in our region
and to engage
more and more people
in sharing our vision.
