Jackie Hawkins, Chair of Trustees at Seasons for Growth (England & Wales), joined some 84 facilitators of our grief education programme this month in the heart of sunny Cheshire.

As part of their accreditation as Companions, our trained faciltators caught up with developments in our provision across the region as well as reconnecting with each others as a professional support network.

Some 850 children and young people - who have faced loss in their own lives - have now been learning about good grief since 2007, thanks to the support of Catholic Children's Society. Working with colleagues in local schools and community organisations, we have trained and offered ongoing support to 146 programme faciltators acoss six local authorities.

We are privileged to work alongside children and young people and witness them achieving and enhancing knowledge, skills and attitudes which equip them for their life journey.

The Annual Reconnector gave us chance to hear the stories of those who had delivered the programme and experienced it too.
